Marissa is graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design & Illustration through the University of SouthCarolina as a Studio Art major and English minor in Columbia, South Carolina. Her motive for creating any piece of design is to reach the intended audience in successful, but strategically creative ways. It is important to achieve what the client is looking for, but also presenting this in a way that brings an individualistic touch of the designer with processing and formatting. Her preferred practices of design include physical and digital illustration, experimental typography, interactive design, ad campaign work, and merchandise campaign work. Marissa’s love of design stems from the desire to promote an idea or message through a bold visual, verbal, and/or audio experience that can spark a change in mind or thought for the viewer.
